Ad hoc: Splendid Medien AG: Provisional figures for the first six months of 2003

In the first six months of 2003, Trading in Licences including cinema
exploitation provisionally recorded revenues of EUR 15.5 million
(against EUR 14.1 million last year). Revenues in this business unit
were obtained primarily from the cinema exploitation of "Gangs of New
York", "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", "Dragonball Z" and from the TV
licence contracts signed with KirchMedia GmbH & Co KGaA in 2001 and
ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in 2002.

The provisional consolidated earnings for the first half-year
amounted to - EUR 1.7 million (against - EUR 9.6 million) last year.

The complete and final figures will be published at the end of August
2003.
